Signing Off, Somewhat Hasty

Dear Gaskets fans,

You haven't heard from the Gaskets in a while.

That's because they broke up, about a year ago.

Don't worry -- there are no hard feelings. The bandmates have lived in different cities for quite a while. They had seven exciting and fun years as a band, and were simply ready to move on.

This post is to let you know about some exciting news: Teddy Blanks, lead singer for the Gaskets, is still at it, and has released a new single today, "Somewhat Hasty," as a free download on his website.

You can download it here: blanksspace.com

If you like the song, and want to be kept updated about what projects Teddy is working on, such as his 6-song EP, Complications, which will be released in May, you can sign up for an informal mailing list by sending a blank email to info@blanksspace.com with the subject line "Teddy Blanks Mailing List." Or you could just befriend him on myspace at myspace.com/teddyblanks

And don't forget, you can always listen to Ballpoint Pens, the solo project of Ross Harman (sequencer player and co-songwriter of the Gaskets), at myspace.com/rossharman

Surely, the Gaskets will play more shows in the future, and possibly even put out all of their unreleased and unheard recordings someday. But for now, we are signing off.

So thank you, everyone, for your support through the years.

Love,
Gaskets
